Privacy

This site is run by Isidoro Dal Col, who is responsible for the data described here. For any question, write to him through the contact form.

No cookies

The site sets no cookies and keeps nothing on your device, so there is no cookie banner. The only exception is the YouTube video on the About page, explained below.

Visitor statistics

To know how many people visit and which pages they see, the site uses PostHog, on its EU servers in Frankfurt. For each page you open, PostHog receives the page address, the site that linked you here, your browser, device type, screen size, language and time zone. It uses your IP address to find your approximate location (country and city), then discards it: the IP address is not stored.

Your visit gets a random ID that exists only in the open browser tab and is gone when you close or reload it, so visits can't be linked to you or to each other. The statistics are not used for advertising or shared with anyone, and PostHog keeps them for up to a year. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form (name, email address and message) are stored by Netlify, which hosts the site, and used only to reply.

YouTube video

The video on the About page is embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When the page loads, your browser connects to YouTube, owned by Google, which receives your IP address and may store data in your browser, especially once you play the video. Google's privacy policy applies.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify, which logs each request, including your IP address, to run and protect the service.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing through the contact form. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
